Praxedis received her first piano lessons at the age of five. For many years she was a pupil of Professor Theo Lerch in Zurich and finished her studies with honours. Already at an early stage the pianist received significant musical impulses and encouragement from Shura Cherkassky, Karl Engel, Alexis Weissenberg, Krystian Zimerman, Wolfgang Boettcher, Pierre Amoyal and Rudolf Baumgartner. Praxedis completed her studies at the renowned Accademia Pianistica „Incontri col Maestri“ in Imola, Italy. Further studies followed with Riccardo Risaliti in Florence.
She performed in major concert halls such as the Musikverein Vienna, Tonhalle Zurich, Philharmonie Berlin and Gasteig Munich. 2015 Sony Classical released her 3CD set of solo piano works by Franz Liszt, which was celebrated as great success by the press. The pianist specializes in the German Romantic piano repertoire with a focus on Franz Liszt. Praxedis is a Steinway Artist.
